Kelly Brosch Memorial

Blue Knights Illinois XX is sorry to inform that Kelly Brosch, daughter of Director Larry Brosch and his wife Lisa, passed away February 15, 2014 at 2:25 p.m.
Kelly had a heart transplant a couple of months ago, her second heart transplant in her young life.

Dear Family and Friends,

We will be holding a memorial service for our Kelly on Sunday, February 23rd at 2 p.m. The service will be held at First Congregational United Church of Christ, located at 256 East Chicago Avenue in Elgin. Kelly will be cremated so there won't be a visitation before-hand. Larry and I look forward to spending time with all who loved Kelly and ALL are welcome, as there are so many of her supporters who never even met her. We know that it will help all of us to share our overwhelming grief and our wonderful stories of a strong, beautiful, inspirational young woman. A simple meal will be served at the church following the service and, again, we want everyone to stay with us.

Flowers for the service are welcome but not necessary, as we will have so many mementos of Kelly to fill the sanctuary and Fellowship Hall. If you would like to make a donation in Kelly's memory, our suggestion is Give Kids the World Village in Florida. This is the special place we stayed when Kelly was granted a wish back in 2001 through the Make-a-Wish Foundation. We have so many happy memories of that trip, and spoke of it often during challenging times. The information is below:

Thank you for the love and support and stories you have already shared with us. We hope to see you all on Sunday.

Love,
Lisa and Larry
